Critical Incident Response / Trauma Management Services
ABetter_Life Resource can also provide a high level responsive critical incident service following workplace incidents, accidents, workplace deaths and associated trauma. ABetter_Life Resource understands the need for a timely response when critical incidents arise and offers significant experience in working with trauma across a range of organisational settings. This can include personal crisis intervention support, early intervention and assistance to individuals and groups of employees where long hours, workplace stressors and other factors can give rise to events which are life threatening or cause risk to personal, emotional or physical safety or wellbeing.
ABetter_Life Resource can also provide a high level responsive critical incident service following workplace incidents, accidents, workplace deaths and associated trauma. WorkCover Approved Psychological Counselling and Rehabilitation
We offer access to psychology services under the QLD Workcover & Compulsory Third Party (CTP) scheme. If you have sustained a physical or psychological injury at work, it is possible that you may experience a variety of mental and/or emotional concerns such as chronic or persistent pain, difficulty adjusting, uncertainty and distress, depressed mood, anxiety or panic episodes, fatigue and tiredness, nightmares and flashbacks, difficulty sleeping / insomnia, difficulty concentrating or poor memory, loss of energy or motivation, changes in appetite and weight, generally feeling worn out or run down, and other symptoms not listed here. The concerns listed are quite common following an injury and usually treatable with the help of an experienced Workcover approved Psychologist or counsellor. As a part of the worker’s compensation scheme, as a worker you may be entitled to Psychologist treatment services in relation to your injury if it is recommended by your Treating Doctor. If you obtain a WorkCover or Comcare medical certificate from your Treating Doctor indicating a recommendation that you see a Psychologist or Rehabilitation Counsellor, you can contact us to receive these services at no cost to you if it is approved by WorkCover. In discussion with you, we will designate an appropriate Psychologist and we will seek approval for treatment from your insurer if required. We will work with you, your doctor, and insurer, to assist in prompt assessment and treatment toward your psychological health.
